These speakers are the upgraded version of the flagship, largest floorstanding speakers in the Diamond series, with several enhancements over the previous model.

The Diamond 30 mkII features a 3-way design with two 18cm woofers, a 15cm midrange, and a 19mm tweeter, all made by renowned Scandinavian companies Seas and Scan-Speak. The woofers have massive magnetic structures, larger voice coils, and a design that ensures a more piston-like operation. These drivers provide the depth, speed, and dynamics of the lowest frequencies, with a lower bass descent than the previous model. The midrange driver has a phase plug that eliminates resonances and reduces coloration in the upper midrange, resulting in a more natural and neutral sound. The tweeter is a Scan-Speak design with a neodymium magnetic system, a dual resonant chamber, and a modified front made of durable cellular rubber in black color that better complements the design. These changes result in even better detail and microdynamics in the highest frequencies, along with greater efficiency, control, and lower non-linear distortions.

The cabinet has a slightly greater tilt, which improves the time integration of individual frequency bands, as well as the aesthetic appeal. The column base has also been completely redesigned, giving the system a sleeker silhouette while maintaining a timeless, minimalist character. The enclosure is made of solid MDF, with carefully placed reinforcements and ribs, and a new sound-absorbing material alongside natural sheep’s wool. The entire setup has been tested using a laser vibrometer and an anechoic chamber.

The Diamond 30 mkII delivers a dynamic, coherent, and detailed sound that differentiates recordings well. The presentation gains on neutrality while maintaining a musical atmosphere. The speakers are dedicated for use in rooms with a floor area from 28 to 48 m2.
