The USW-LITE-16-POE is a wall-mountable, 16-port, Layer 2 PoE switch with a fanless cooling system. It is designed to provide power and performance for your network devices, such as access points, cameras, phones, and more. It supports UniFi Network Version 7.2.94 and later, which allows you to manage and monitor your network from anywhere using the UniFi Controller app or web interface.

The USW-LITE-16-POE has the following features and specifications:

  • (8) GbE PoE+, (8) GbE ports: The switch has eight Gigabit Ethernet ports that support auto-sensing 802.3at PoE+ standard, which delivers up to 30W of power per port to your devices. You can also use the UniFi Controller app or web interface to configure the PoE settings for each port individually.
  • Total non-blocking throughput: The switch has a total non-blocking throughput of 16 Gbps, which means it can handle multiple devices without slowing down or dropping packets.
  • Switching capacity: The switch has a switching capacity of 32 Gbps, which means it can process up to 32 Gbps of data per second on each port.
  • Power method: The switch uses a universal input power supply (100—240V AC) with an internal AC/DC converter that delivers 60W of power to the switch.
  • Max. power consumption: The switch consumes up to 15W of power (excluding PoE output), which makes it energy-efficient and environmentally friendly.
  • Total available PoE: The switch has a total available PoE budget of 45W, which means it can supply up to 45W of power to all eight PoE+ ports combined.
  • Max. PoE wattage per port by PSE: The switch supports Power over Ethernet Switching (PSE), which allows you to use one cable for both data and power transmission between the switch and your devices. The maximum PoE wattage per port by PSE is determined by the following formula: Max. PoE wattage per port by PSE = Total available PoE / Number of PSE ports
    • In this case, Max. PoE wattage per port by PSE = 45W / 8 = 5.625W
    • However, since each PSE port can only deliver up to 30W of power according to IEEE standard, the maximum actual PoE wattage per port by PSE is limited by this value: Max. actual PoE wattage per port by PSE = Maximum allowed value / Number of PSE ports
    • In this case, Max. actual PoE wattage per port by PSE = 30W / 8 = 3.75W
    • Therefore, each PSE port can deliver up to 3.75W of power via data and power transmission using one cable.
  • Button: The switch has a factory reset button on the back panel that allows you to restore the default settings in case of any issues or errors.
  • Operating temperature: The switch operates in a temperature range of -15°C to +40°C (5°F to +104°F), which makes it suitable for various indoor and outdoor environments.
  • Operating humidity: The switch operates in a humidity range of 10% to 90% noncondensing, which means it does not require any additional cooling or ventilation systems.
  • Certifications: The switch is certified by CE, FCC, IC, and other relevant authorities for safety and quality standards.
