Collection: Active Speakers

Active speakers combine amplification and loudspeakers in one convenient system, reducing the number of separate components without sacrificing sound quality. They are an excellent choice for compact hi-fi systems, TV audio, desktop listening and modern music setups.

Our selection ranges from compact powered speakers to more powerful stereo systems designed for larger listening spaces. Use the filters below to narrow your choice by brand and recommended room size.

How to choose active speakers

Active speakers integrate amplification directly into the speaker system, making it possible to build a complete stereo setup with fewer separate components. The right choice depends on room size, listening distance, available connections and how the system will be used.

Room size and listening distance

Compact active speakers are particularly well suited to smaller rooms, desktop systems and shorter listening distances. Larger models generally provide greater output, bass extension and dynamic capability for bigger spaces and longer listening distances.

Use our Recommended room size classification as a practical starting point rather than an absolute requirement.

Connections

Connectivity is one of the most important differences between active speaker systems. Depending on the model, connections may include analogue inputs, digital inputs, USB, Bluetooth, HDMI ARC or other options.

Consider all the sources you intend to connect before choosing: television, computer, streamer, turntable, CD player or other audio equipment.

TV and music systems

Active speakers can provide a simple alternative to a conventional amplifier and passive speakers. Models equipped with an appropriate HDMI connection are particularly convenient when the same system will be used for television and music.

For a primarily music-focused system, also consider the quality and flexibility of the available audio inputs and how you intend to control playback.

Speaker placement

Although the amplification is integrated, active speakers follow the same basic acoustic principles as passive speakers. Their distance from walls, spacing and orientation towards the listening position can significantly influence tonal balance and stereo imaging.

Allow enough space for both the speakers and their required connections when planning the installation.

Finding the right system

Start with room size and listening distance, then compare connectivity and intended sources. The best active speaker is not necessarily the largest model, but the one that provides the appropriate output, connections and integration for your system.

Understanding our recommendations

Not sure which active speakers are right for your system? Tell us your room dimensions, listening distance, main sources and whether the speakers will also be connected to a TV. We can help you identify the most suitable solution.

Recommended room size

Small room — up to approximately 15 m²
Medium room — approximately 15–30 m²
Large room — approximately 30 m² and above

These are ExclusivIT starting recommendations, not absolute requirements. Room acoustics, listening distance, speaker placement and the desired listening level can influence the optimum choice.
