Product Overview
The Square CC is designed for vinyl lovers who want a turntable that is both visually refined and technically serious. Its radically uncluttered design features a square wood case, a subtly off-centre transparent platter and a leather-finished top surface, giving it a unique identity that fits naturally into modern interiors.
Built for uncompromising vinyl reproduction, the Square CC combines stable belt-drive playback, a high-quality aluminium tonearm and an Ortofon OM10 cartridge to deliver a clean, detailed and musical analogue sound.
Pre-Amplified or Non-Pre-Amplified Modes
The Square CC offers two operating modes, making it easy to integrate into different audio systems. In pre-amplified mode, the integrated MM phono preamplifier amplifies the turntable output by 34 dB, allowing direct connection to an amplifier, active speaker or hi-fi system line input.
In non-pre-amplified mode, the turntable can be connected to an external phono stage or to an amplifier with a dedicated phono input. A rear connector makes switching between the two modes simple and practical.
Tonearm & Cartridge
The Square CC is equipped with a 20 cm lightweight aluminium tonearm with integrated cartridge holder. Its rigid one-piece conical design helps reduce reflections and standing waves, while low-friction bearings support accurate groove tracking.
The tonearm is factory-set for the supplied Ortofon OM10 cartridge, removing the need for additional setup or counterweight adjustment. The OM10 uses an elliptical diamond stylus for precise tracking and offers a frequency response of 20 Hz – 25 kHz.
Belt Drive & Transparent Platter
The transparent Plexiglass® platter reveals the rotation mechanism underneath, creating a distinctive visual signature. The sub-platter is mounted in a 0.001 mm main bearing with a hardened steel axle and brass ring, helping reduce vibration and mechanical play.
A low-vibration belt system and mains-powered synchronous motor provide stable and quiet rotation for both 33 rpm and 45 rpm records. Speed selection is made manually using a simple button on the platter.
Anti-Vibration System
La Boite Concept’s proprietary tripod anti-vibration system uses three cork support points to control parasitic vibration during playback. This system directs unwanted vibration away from the playback area and helps isolate the turntable from bass vibrations produced by nearby speakers.
As a result, the Square CC can be placed more easily in lifestyle audio systems, even when used on the same surface as an active speaker or compact hi-fi system.
Design & Craftsmanship
The Square CC is made in Europe and assembled in La Boite Concept’s factory in Hossegor, France. Its black-tinted MDF top provides rigidity, while the surrounding Walnut or Oak frame highlights the square design. The wood is machined, painted and varnished in the Basque Country, and the leather top finish adds a refined tactile detail.
A removable acrylic cover made in France protects the turntable when not in use.
