Overview
The Jamo Concert Element 70 is a compact 3-way floorstanding loudspeaker created for listeners who want the scale and bass extension of a floorstander without introducing an unnecessarily deep cabinet into the room. Its architecture combines a 200 mm woofer, dedicated 130 mm midrange and 25 mm soft-dome tweeter, all developed specifically for the enclosure.
Within the Concert Element range, the 70 sits between the bookshelf Element 50 and larger Element 90. It is designed to provide a practical balance between room-friendly proportions and full-range stereo performance, making it particularly relevant for contemporary living spaces.
Key Benefits
The Element 70 uses one dedicated driver for each frequency range. Its 200 mm woofer provides a specified low-frequency cut-off of 35 Hz at -6 dB, giving the speaker useful bass extension for music systems where adding a subwoofer is not always desirable.
The woofer and midrange use Scandinavian nettle-fibre cones, while the 25 mm soft positive-dome tweeter incorporates a waveguide. Jamo developed the bespoke driver system with SB Acoustics, tuning each driver specifically for the cabinet volume rather than using a generic platform across the range.
Internally, the floorstanding Element models use separate bass and midrange chambers. The woofer operates in a ported section while the midrange is acoustically isolated in its own sealed chamber. A down-firing port also reduces dependence on a conventional rear-facing reflex opening, helping make placement more manageable in real living rooms.
Key Features
- Compact 3-way passive floorstanding loudspeaker
- 200 mm / 8-inch Scandinavian nettle-fibre woofer
- 130 mm / 5-inch Scandinavian nettle-fibre midrange driver
- 25 mm / 1-inch soft positive-dome tweeter
- Bespoke drivers developed with SB Acoustics
- Dual-chamber internal architecture
- Down-firing bass-reflex port
- 35 Hz low-frequency cut-off (-6 dB)
- 87 dB sensitivity
- 4-ohm nominal impedance
- Bi-wiring terminals
- Two sets of magnetic grilles in dark grey and light grey
Ideal For
The Jamo Concert Element 70 is particularly suited to medium-sized stereo listening rooms where a bookshelf speaker may not provide enough scale, but a large floorstander would dominate the space. Its relatively shallow cabinet and down-firing port also make it attractive for installations where visual integration and placement flexibility are important.
With 87 dB sensitivity, a 4-ohm impedance and a recommended amplifier range of 50 to 200 watts, it should be partnered with a capable integrated or power amplifier able to provide stable current delivery.

Why We Selected This Product
The Concert Element 70 occupies a useful position between a conventional standmount and a large floorstanding loudspeaker. Its single-driver-per-range architecture, dedicated internal chambers and substantial 200 mm woofer give the design clear technical purpose, while its relatively shallow proportions make it easier to integrate into contemporary interiors.
For customers looking for a serious passive stereo speaker with meaningful bass capability but without the physical presence of the larger Element 90, the Element 70 offers a particularly well-balanced combination of engineering, room practicality and distinctive Scandinavian design.
