Overview
The Jamo Concert Legacy 9 is a compact high-end 3-way floorstanding loudspeaker designed for serious two-channel HiFi systems. It combines a dedicated SEAS aluminium/magnesium midrange driver with dual Scan-Speak bass drivers and a Scan-Speak tweeter, bringing together Scandinavian driver technology and contemporary Danish construction.
Compared with the larger Concert Legacy 11, the Legacy 9 offers a more compact cabinet while retaining the same overall 3-way architecture and Jamo DualCore concept. This makes it particularly relevant for listeners who want substantial bass extension and full-scale performance without moving to Jamo's largest floorstanding model.
Key Benefits
Jamo's DualCore architecture separates the tweeter and midrange into a sealed upper chamber, physically isolated from the bass section below by a 75 Shore A rubber layer. This construction is designed to reduce interaction between low-frequency cabinet pressure and the midrange section, helping preserve clarity through voices and instruments.
The down-firing bass-reflex port is integrated into the aluminium plinth, while the cabinet itself leans forward by four degrees. Beyond the visual identity, this arrangement is intended to make placement less sensitive than a conventional rear-ported design.
With a specified sensitivity of 92 dB and 4-ohm impedance, the Legacy 9 can work with a broad range of capable integrated or power amplifiers, while its 33 Hz low-frequency response gives it genuine full-range ability for music-focused systems.

Ideal For
The Jamo Concert Legacy 9 is best suited to medium and larger listening rooms where a true floorstanding speaker can be positioned with some space around it. It is intended primarily for high-quality stereo systems and works particularly well for listeners who want strong bass extension, high sensitivity and the scale of a multi-driver design without stepping up to the physically larger Legacy 11.
Its combination of 4-ohm impedance and a recommended amplifier range of 40 to 200 watts means amplifier quality and current delivery should still be considered carefully when building the system around it.

Why We Selected This Product
The Concert Legacy 9 is particularly interesting because it brings much of the engineering philosophy of Jamo's flagship Legacy 11 into a more compact format. The combination of SEAS and Scan-Speak drive units, a mechanically separated midrange chamber and a down-firing bass system gives it a clear technical identity rather than relying on styling alone.
For customers looking for a substantial yet manageable high-end floorstander, the Legacy 9 offers a compelling balance of sensitivity, bass extension, cabinet engineering and Scandinavian design. It is a product aimed squarely at long-term stereo ownership rather than short-term feature appeal.
