Product Overview

The Lyngdorf D-500 Center is a purpose-built in-wall centre loudspeaker developed to anchor premium home cinema systems with clarity and authority. As part of Lyngdorf’s Discreet Series, it combines architectural elegance with serious acoustic engineering, making it ideal for installations where performance must match aesthetics.

Its rigid sealed MDF enclosure ensures consistent sound quality independent of wall construction, while the carefully chosen driver complement delivers a coherent and powerful front soundstage. The D-500 Center is equally at home beneath a display or hidden behind an acoustically transparent projection screen.

How It Sounds

The sonic presentation is clear, focused and natural, with dialogue rendered intelligibly and effortlessly, even at lower listening levels. Voices remain anchored to the screen, while effects and music blend seamlessly into the wider soundstage.

The aluminium midrange driver provides excellent articulation and body, while the soft-dome tweeter adds refinement and detail without edge or fatigue. Dual passive woofers extend the low-frequency response, giving soundtracks weight and realism without sacrificing control.

Recommended Room Size

The Lyngdorf D-500 Center is ideally suited for medium to large rooms, including dedicated home theatres and premium living spaces. Its full-range performance allows it to operate confidently as the main dialogue channel, with or without close subwoofer support depending on room size and system design.

Ideal Applications

• Centre channel in Dolby Atmos and immersive surround systems
• In-wall installation under televisions or behind projection screens
• High-performance architectural home cinema setups
• Systems where dialogue clarity and tonal consistency are critical
