Unlike conventional wireless subwoofer adapters, AirShip Direct™ has been developed as an integrated extension of REL's newest amplifier platform. The receiver plugs directly into the dedicated AirShip Direct port found on compatible REL subwoofers, creating an elegant, discreet installation with virtually no visible hardware.

Overview

At REL, wireless technology has never been developed simply for convenience. AirShip Direct™ has been engineered to preserve the same timing accuracy, bandwidth and dynamics expected from a high-quality wired connection while removing the practical limitations of long subwoofer cables.

The transmitter communicates wirelessly with a compact receiver module that plugs directly into the amplifier panel of compatible REL subwoofers. By integrating the receiver into the subwoofer itself, REL eliminates external receiver boxes, RCA cables and additional power adapters, resulting in a cleaner installation and faster setup.

AirShip Direct™ is designed specifically for REL subwoofers equipped with the dedicated AirShip Direct receiver interface, including:

It is not compatible with previous-generation REL subwoofers using the original AirShip II receiver or HT-Air wireless systems.
